Terms
Make It Scarlet is run by Brockchain Labs LLC. These terms cover the studio at makeitscarlet.com, the studio on other websites through our embed, and the paid plans. Using any of them means you agree to these terms.
What the studio does
You give it a photo and a line of text. It sizes and styles the photo for each platform you pick, fits your line to each one, and hands the results back to you to post. It does not post anything by itself and it does not post to your accounts.
Your photos and your words
They stay yours. On a paid plan the photo is handled in your own browser and never sent to us, and the line you type comes to us only to be fitted to each platform and is not kept.
On the free plan you pay with what you share, and only after you say yes: we keep your photo when no person is in it, the line you type, and your email, as our privacy page describes. You give us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free licence to store and use the photos and lines you share to improve Make It Scarlet and to build our photo library for our own use. That licence does not let us sell or license your photos to anyone else; that would need a separate yes from you. You can take it back at any time, and we then delete what we kept. Only share photos you took yourself or have the right to share, and that show no person.
You are responsible for what you post. Only use photos you have the right to use, and do not post a picture of another person without their permission.
Fair use of the studio
Do not use it for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to make misleading or explicit material. Do not try to break it, overload it, or get around its limits. We may slow or stop access that does any of this.
Keys and the embed
A site key lets the studio appear on the websites you list. The site key is public by design. The manage token is not: keep it private, because anyone holding it can change your key. We show it once and cannot show it again.
If you put the studio on your site, you are responsible for your site and for telling your visitors about it in your own privacy notice where the law asks you to.
Posts and plans
A post is one press of Make it: one photo and one line, made for every platform you pick. Each plan includes a number of posts a month, shown on the plans page, and they come back on the first of each month. Unused posts do not carry over. Free is for people 13 and up.
Pro and Platform are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance through Stripe. The price is the one on the plans page when you buy. If we ever change it, we will tell you before your next bill and you can cancel first.
Extra posts past your plan happen only if you turn them on, up to a monthly ceiling you choose. Each costs your plan's own rate per post, shown on the plans page, and they are added to your next bill. Turn them off at any time on your account page.
You can cancel any time from Manage billing on the embed page. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for and then returns to Free. We do not refund part of a month unless the law requires it.
Changes and availability
We work to keep the studio running and correct, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will never be down or never make a mistake. We may change or improve it. If a change takes away something a paid plan includes, we will tell you first.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the problem.
